David Tamés is a media maker working in traditional and immersive media forms and a Teaching Professor in the Department of Communication Studies with a joint appointment in the Department of Art + Design at Northeastern University, where he teaches a variety of media arts courses. He also serves on the board of directors of Filmmaker’s Collaborative and the advisory board of MedVR. David has produced award-winning short films, co-authored the book Mediating Presence with Peter (Zak) Zakrzewski, and recently co-directed and co-produced Reality’s Fugue: Genesis, a virtual reality experience that offers a new take on the Genesis origin story and suggests how we create a shared world.
